Judith is my partner from Germany and is here on an interchange programme. This programme allows participant an experience of the local culture, an eye opener to how things work in the interchange country and its local flavor.
Im designated as her buddy and that is to look after her.
She's an interesting gal but can be temperamental at times.....as in, when she is not feeling well, she can be really REALLY grouchy....or quiet.....i learnt a lot from her, about Germany, her thinking and how they work back in Germany.
The first few weeks is tough as she has no designated workstation and had to hop from station to station...that's bad...plus no sign- in for any of the system....so i had to find her all the resources. But the timing was bad...a new account has started and due to the shortage of manpower, i had to juggle between teaching her, coaching her, my team and helping out the new team and not forgetting my new work. I tot the disorganisation and not much support is taxing on me. In the end, im tired almost everyday.....
She's almost going back and i'm somehow glad for myself and her.....there are things that i think could have been done better with more support but guess, timing is bad. no direction on this interchange is bad too. Tired of this whole thing.I hope that i have given her the best that i could with my limits......take care gal.....
