Went to attend NTU's CAC joint concert at SCGs auditorium last weekend. It was a showcase of the different dance club's cheoreo and dancers and i was excited.
The theme was around the world, with the emcees dressed as an air stewardess and captain of the flight bringing all the passengers on board to different countries to have a look at their local dances. The joint concert had items from the Chinese dance, Salsa, modern dance, Lindy, Contemporary and breakdance, not forgetting the guest performance. Putting the guest performances aside, im impressed by the Chinese dance team. The technique is there for each move, the energy, facial expression, all in a package. My juniors in Lindy were kinda disappointing. But i guess, Lindy is hard. At least its hard to be a good Lindy dancer.
At the end of the concert, i think dancing is really a tough hobby. Every little move you make counts, every energy you put in shows and not forgetting the facial expressions.
For those who is looking at dancing seriously and have made a little name for themselves, salute! Keep up the good work!
