Househunting...

Househunting is definitely an experience. I wanted to get a house of our own in time for our wedding.

That means, calculating our finances, attending the resale seminar, finding an agent and listing your preferences

Having stayed central Singapore all my life (I sound as though SG is a BIG country), i am relunctant to shift too far away. But there needs to be a compromise as Dear stays in East....

So, we sat down and discuss. Discuss with the agent with our cash at hand, what are the options.

As much as measurements were down by the government to ease the market, valuation remains high, COV went slightly down but with our combined income that restricted us to getting a bank loan only, we needed to cough out 5% valuation limit + COV in cash.

So, we got some options in area and that means, SengKang, Buang Kok and maybe somewhere else (cant remember)

So we went househunting on last sunday. Viewed a total of 8 units. 6 in Seng Kang and 2 in Buangkok.

It was amazing how others have done up their places. From spick and span, to dirty toilets, carpark view, blocked view......in the end, we couldn't make a decision.

its hard to find a location both agree, a house you both like and not forgetting one that meets your budget.

Its an art, i must say.

So, the househunting continues....
