Search for the correct size kimono top

This Christmas was definitely a challenging one in the sense that i had to get...say 11+ gifts in such a short time....but i had a quite interesting experience though with getting my sis's present....

had been shopping with her for a couple of days during lunch hours and she was commenting about liking the kimono top but worrying about fitting in and thus, i thought of buying that for her....hence, innocently decided to secretly buy the top for her to make her happy....

the search for her top begin in vivocity at Red2 where i was trying the white top in size M thinking about fitting her well endowed top..hehe. soo there i was, pulling the front of the top thinking of whether it will fit her and finally decided to make this purchase of the black top but alas, no size... now, the search for the correct size. Harbourfront has Red2 as well, so guess i will buy it the next day....

In the end, went shopping on the same day at MArina sq after work and saw the SAME top....there i went to try and as the display top was not priced, i decided to do a little of acting with the boss of the shop....

"Auntie, how much this top cost?" i asked
"very cheap only, its 38.90....i tell you, if you get it from vivo, it's 50+!" she replied
My eyebrows raised and i said, "no leh, i came from vivo city and saw in a shop that it only cost 39.90..."

The lady boss was a little shocked by my reply and i was waiting to see how she would reply me with her typical sales talk....

"issit?" then she started to go asking me where i saw it and other questions...

In the end, i asked her "Auntie, can give discount?" Din know where in the earth did i bother to ask this question in this shopping centre as it seemed a little unappropriate to ask as most shops are fixed price....

anyway, she told me to buy two pieces to get a discount and appeared to smoke me through with her sales talk...."look nice on you....this color..."blarblarblar....

So i went to try another piece that fixed my size and well, i seemed to be swimming in the top. Too big....So in the end, asked her in detailed about the discount she would give.....

"you buy two i'll sell you at say.....36 lah...."

wah, quite a bargain but the top is too big lah.....hmmm

"how about if i really buy one only?" i continued

"err....sell you 38 lor"

So i was thinking, i can actually asked for a discounted price at 37 right? hehe but eventually decided to go with 38 lah...

so i asked for a new piece...."of cos i have a new one, wait ah...." and she started to search through her shelves of clothing to find the same top...

and upon realising she din have a new piece, there she goes again.."aiyah, actually this piece hor, is new one....you see the creases....it was just opened as an earlier customer asked for a new piece, and i opened this up and put it as a displayed after the customer took the last new piece...."

Pengz.....imagine the effort she takes in tuning her story to fit her situation....i was liked"huh"....

in the end, still bought the top and crossing my fingers praying that my sister will like it and it can fit her top....hehe....

im amazed by how sales people sell their stuff.....
